Isotretinoin 20mg capsules for severe acne.
Accutane 20mg contains isotretinoin, a retinoid (13-cis-retinoic acid) used for severe nodular acne that has not responded to other treatments. It reduces sebum production, normalizes skin cell turnover, and decreases inflammation. Causes severe birth defects; must not be used in pregnancy. Pack of 10 capsules.
Purpose
Treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne.
Ingredients
Isotretinoin 20mg per soft gelatin capsule.
Warnings
Causes severe birth defects. Do not use if pregnant or may become pregnant. Use effective contraception. Avoid blood donation. Monitor lipids and liver function.
Side Effects
Dry skin, dry lips, dry eyes, nosebleeds. May cause elevated triglycerides, liver enzymes, mood changes. Teratogenic.
