Acyclovir 5% cream 10g for cold sores.
Acylex 5% Cream 10Gm contains acyclovir for topical treatment of herpes simplex infections (cold sores). Apply to affected area at first sign of outbreak as directed; for external use only. Use for duration advised.
Purpose
Topical treatment of herpes simplex labialis (cold sores) when appropriate.
Ingredients
Acyclovir 5% in cream base; 10g.
Warnings
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use for genital herpes without medical advice. Not a cure; may reduce duration and severity. Discontinue if severe irritation.
Side Effects
Mild dryness, irritation, peeling. Report severe irritation or rash.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Keep tube tightly closed. Do not freeze. Use within period stated after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
