Ampicillin and cloxacillin 250mg capsules for bacterial infections.
Ampiclox (250mg) combines ampicillin and cloxacillin, both penicillin antibiotics. It is used for mixed bacterial infections where both Gram-positive and some Gram-negative coverage are needed, including skin and soft tissue infections and respiratory infections. Prescription only.
Purpose
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including skin, respiratory, and soft tissue infections.
Ingredients
Ampicillin 250mg and cloxacillin 250mg per capsule (or as per pack).
Warnings
Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitivity. Complete full course. Not for use in infectious mononucleosis.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, rash, allergic reactions. Rare: pseudomembranous colitis. Report severe diarrhoea or rash.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
