Amprexa (5mg) contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker for hypertension and angina. The 5mg strength is for once-daily dosing. Take at the same time each day; may be taken with or without food.

Purpose

Treatment of essential hypertension; treatment of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina when prescribed.

Ingredients

Amlodipine 5mg (as besylate or equivalent) per tablet.

Warnings

Caution in severe aortic stenosis and heart failure. May cause oedema. Report severe swelling.

Side Effects

Oedema, flushing, headache, dizziness. Report severe swelling or fainting.
