Amlodipine 10mg and Valsartan 160mg for hypertension.
Amstan 10/160mg is a fixed-dose combination of amlodipine 10mg (calcium channel blocker) and valsartan 160mg (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Both relax blood vessels to lower blood pressure. Used for hypertension when single-agent or lower-dose combination is insufficient. Not for initial therapy; use when substituting for separate components. Pack of 28 tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of hypertension in adults (substitution therapy).
Ingredients
Amlodipine (as besylate) 10mg and Valsartan 160mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy. Do not use for initial therapy. Caution in renal impairment, hyperkalemia. Do not stop abruptly.
Side Effects
Edema, headache, dizziness, flushing. May cause hypotension or hyperkalemia.
