Pheniramine maleate injection for allergic reactions.
Avil 2ml injection contains pheniramine maleate, a first-generation antihistamine. Used for acute allergic reactions, urticaria, and as adjunct in anaphylaxis when adrenaline has been given. For intramuscular or slow intravenous use by healthcare professional. Single-use ampoule.
Purpose
Treatment of acute allergic reactions, urticaria; adjunct in anaphylaxis management.
Ingredients
Pheniramine maleate; strength as per pack (e.g. 22.5mg per ml or 45mg per 2ml).
Warnings
For use by healthcare professional. Contraindicated in narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention. Caution in prostate enlargement, epilepsy. May cause drowsiness; do not drive.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision. May cause hypotension or dizziness. Anticholinergic effects possible.
