Bactroban (2%) 15g Skin Ointment contains mupirocin, a topical antibiotic for bacterial skin infections (e.g. impetigo, folliculitis). Use for short-term; apply thinly. Complete the course as directed.
Purpose
Treatment of bacterial skin infections (e.g. impetigo, folliculitis) when caused by susceptible organisms including MRSA.
Ingredients
Mupirocin 2% w/w; 15g.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not use in eyes or nose unless formulation is approved for that use. Complete course as directed. Report lack of improvement.
Side Effects
Local irritation, itching, burning. Allergic contact dermatitis possible. Report worsening or lack of improvement.
