Betamethasone and neomycin ointment 15g for inflamed infected skin.
Betacin N (1/5mg) 15g Ointment combines betamethasone (corticosteroid) with neomycin (antibiotic) for inflamed, infected skin conditions. Use for short-term; apply thinly. Do not use on large areas or under occlusion without advice.
Purpose
Short-term treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with bacterial infection when combination therapy is appropriate.
Ingredients
Betamethasone (or equivalent) and neomycin; strengths as per pack (1/5mg may refer to different components).
Warnings
Contains steroid and antibiotic. Short-term use only. Do not use in viral or fungal infections unless prescribed. Do not use on face long-term.
Side Effects
Local thinning, striae, burning. Neomycin may cause allergic contact dermatitis. Report skin thinning or worsening.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Keep tube tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
