Warnings
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you have been treated with these drops/ointment or similar corticosteroid medicine recently. You is advised to not use corticosteroids for a long time without regular medical checkups from your doctor .
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you have redness in your eyes for which you do not know the cause. Steroid treatment must not be given unless the cause of the redness is known .
Treatment with corticosteroid/antibiotic combinations is advised to not be continued for more than 7 days in the absence of any clinical improvement, since prolonged use may lead to occult extension of infection due to the masking effect of the steroid. Prolonged use may also lead to skin sensitisation and the emergence of resistant organisms.
Side Effects
Corneal thining and ulceration , cataract , rise in intra-occular pressure ; avoid unnecessary use . Sensitisation , mydriasis , ptosis , epithelial punctate keratitis.
