BONELIFT (1MCG) 30 TABLETS (1267)
BONELIFT 1mcg contains alfacalcidol, a vitamin D analogue. It increases vitamin D activity in the body, helping to maintain calcium and phosphate balance for healthy bones. Used when vitamin D and calcium levels are low or in certain bone and parathyroid disorders.
Purpose
Treatment of bone disorders due to kidney failure, parathyroid disorders, low calcium (hypocalcaemia), osteomalacia and rickets, and related conditions when vitamin D supplementation is needed.
Ingredients
Alfacalcidol 1 microgram.
Warnings
Do not use if you have high blood calcium (hypercalcaemia) or tissue calcification. Caution in kidney problems or kidney stones. Do not take extra vitamin D without medical advice. Regular monitoring of calcium and phosphate may be required.
Side Effects
Headache. Signs of high calcium: weakness, confusion, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, bone pain. Report these to your doctor.
