Piroxicam beta-cyclodextrin tablets for symptomatic relief of arthritis and joint inflammation.
Brexin tablets contain piroxicam beta-cyclodextrin, an NSAID that provides symptomatic relief for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. The beta-cyclodextrin formulation improves solubility and absorption compared to standard piroxicam, allowing for faster onset of action in managing joint pain and stiffness.
Purpose
Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Ingredients
Piroxicam beta-cyclodextrin (equivalent to 20mg piroxicam) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, or history of NSAID-induced asthma. Use with caution in elderly patients.
Side Effects
Gastrointestinal upset, abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, skin rash, and potential for GI bleeding or ulceration.
