Carbamazepine 200mg tablets for epilepsy and bipolar disorder.
Carbatit (200)mg Tablets 30s contains carbamazepine, an anticonvulsant and mood stabiliser for epilepsy and bipolar disorder. The 200mg strength is for twice-daily dosing. Take as directed; do not stop abruptly.
Purpose
Treatment of epilepsy (partial and generalised seizures); treatment of bipolar disorder; trigeminal neuralgia when prescribed.
Ingredients
Carbamazepine 200mg per tablet.
Warnings
Risk of serious skin reactions; report rash immediately. Do not stop abruptly. Many drug interactions. Monitor blood counts and sodium. Avoid in pregnancy (teratogenic).
Side Effects
Dizziness, drowsiness, ataxia, nausea, hyponatraemia. Rare: serious skin reactions, blood dyscrasias. Report rash, fever, or mouth ulcers.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
