Claritek Xl (500mg) contains clarithromycin in extended-release formulation, a macrolide antibiotic for bacterial infections including respiratory and skin infections. The 500mg XL strength is for once-daily dosing. Take as directed; complete the full course.
Purpose
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory and skin infections when prescribed.
Ingredients
Clarithromycin 500mg (extended-release) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in macrolide hypersensitivity. Caution in QT prolongation and hepatic impairment. Many drug interactions. Complete full course.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, taste disturbance. Rare: QT prolongation, hepatotoxicity. Report severe diarrhoea or jaundice.
