Clopixol 200mg Inj
Zuclopenthixol decanoate 200mg depot injection for schizophrenia.
Clopixol 200mg Inj contains zuclopenthixol decanoate, a depot antipsychotic for maintenance treatment of schizophrenia. The 200mg strength is for deep intramuscular injection at intervals (e.g. every 2–4 weeks). Administer only as directed.
Purpose
Maintenance treatment of schizophrenia when depot therapy is appropriate.
Ingredients
Zuclopenthixol decanoate 200mg per ml (or as per pack).
Warnings
Increased mortality in elderly with dementia-related psychosis. Caution in cardiovascular disease. May cause drowsiness; avoid driving until effect is known.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, extrapyramidal symptoms, weight gain, hypotension. Elderly with dementia: increased risk of stroke and death. Report unexplained fever or muscle rigidity.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Use within period after opening.
