Amlodipine, Valsartan, and Hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension.
Covam Plus 5/160/12.5mg is a triple combination of amlodipine 5mg (calcium channel blocker), valsartan 160mg (ARB), and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg (diuretic) for hypertension. Used as substitution therapy when blood pressure is already controlled on these three components. Take once daily. Pack of 28 tablets. Manufactured by Getz Pharma.
Purpose
Treatment of hypertension in adults (substitution therapy).
Ingredients
Amlodipine (as besylate) 5mg, Valsartan 160mg, and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy. Monitor potassium. Avoid in severe hepatic impairment. Do not use for initial therapy. Do not stop abruptly.
Side Effects
Dizziness, edema, headache, fatigue, hypokalemia. Risk of hypotension.
