Aspirin 75mg with gastroprotection for cardiovascular prevention.
Cytopan 75 (75mg/200mcg) combines low-dose aspirin (75mg) with a gastroprotective agent in a single tablet for cardiovascular protection with reduced gastric risk. Used for secondary prevention of cardiovascular events in patients who require antiplatelet therapy. The 200mcg component is typically a PPI or equivalent for gastric protection.
Purpose
Secondary prevention of cardiovascular events in patients at risk who require antiplatelet therapy with gastroprotection.
Ingredients
Aspirin 75mg and gastroprotective agent (e.g. omeprazole equivalent 200mcg or as per pack) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders, and aspirin-sensitive asthma. Increased bleeding risk. Not for use in third trimester of pregnancy.
Side Effects
Gastrointestinal discomfort, bleeding risk, rash. Rare: bronchospasm in aspirin-sensitive patients. Report unusual bleeding or black stools.
