Dapa Met 5/1000Mg Tab 28S
Dapagliflozin/metformin for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular/renal protection.
Dapa Met combines dapagliflozin 5mg (SGLT2 inhibitor) and metformin 1000mg extended-release to improve glycaemic control and reduce heart failure hospitalisation in type 2 diabetes.
Purpose
Type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise; reduction of heart failure hospitalisation; cardiovascular and renal protection when applicable.
Ingredients
Dapagliflozin 5mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg (extended-release)
Warnings
Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. Avoid if eGFR below 60 for dapagliflozin. Lactic acidosis risk with metformin in renal/hepatic impairment, dehydration, severe infection. Prescription only.
Side Effects
Urinary tract infection, genital mycotic infections, diarrhoea, nausea, dehydration, volume depletion. Rare: lactic acidosis (metformin), DKA.
