Cefuroxime axetil 250mg for bacterial respiratory, skin, and UTI.
Dapakan contains cefuroxime axetil 250mg, an oral cephalosporin that is hydrolysed to cefuroxime. It treats respiratory, skin, urinary, and other bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms.
Purpose
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections: upper/lower respiratory, skin and soft tissue, UTI, otitis media, sinusitis, early Lyme disease.

Warnings
Contraindicated in cephalosporin allergy. Use with caution in penicillin allergy. Complete full course. Prescription only.
Side Effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, rash. Rare: allergic reactions, C. difficile-associated diarrhoea.
