Deltacortril Enteric Coated tablets contain prednisolone, a corticosteroid. The enteric coating allows the tablet to dissolve in the intestine rather than the stomach, reducing stomach irritation. Used to treat inflammation and immune-related conditions.

Purpose

Treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions including asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, severe allergies, skin conditions, bowel inflammation, and conditions where the body produces insufficient natural steroid.

Ingredients

Prednisolone 5mg (enteric-coated).

Warnings

Do not stop taking suddenly. If you have been on treatment for more than 3 weeks you may need a steroid card. Avoid contact with chickenpox or shingles if you have not had them. Tell your doctor of any infections or if you are having surgery.

Side Effects

Mood changes, stomach upset, rounded face, weight gain, weakness. Long-term: thinning bones, high blood pressure, raised blood sugar. Report blurred vision, severe mood changes, or signs of infection.
