Dexachlor Eye Drop
Dexamethasone and chloramphenicol eye drops for infected eye inflammation.
Dexachlor Eye Drop is a combination of dexamethasone (corticosteroid) and chloramphenicol (antibiotic) for the treatment of bacterial eye infections with associated inflammation. Used for conjunctivitis and superficial ocular infections when both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects are needed.
Purpose
Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and superficial ocular infections with inflammatory component when prescribed.
Ingredients
Dexamethasone and chloramphenicol; strengths as per pack.
Warnings
Not for use in viral or fungal eye infections. Do not use if perforation of eyeball. Prolonged use may mask infection or cause glaucoma. Remove contact lenses before use.
Side Effects
Transient stinging, blurred vision, allergic reactions. Prolonged use may increase intraocular pressure or risk of cataract. Report pain, redness, or vision changes.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Protect from light. Do not use after expiry. Discard bottle within 28 days of opening unless otherwise stated.
