Diajard L 5/25mg combines Empagliflozin 25mg (SGLT2 inhibitor) and Linagliptin 5mg (DPP-4 inhibitor) for type 2 diabetes when higher SGLT2 dose is needed for glycaemic or cardiovascular benefit.

Purpose

Type 2 diabetes as an adjunct to diet and exercise; reduction of cardiovascular death when empagliflozin is indicated.

Warnings

Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. DKA risk in acute illness. Prescription only.

Side Effects

Genital mycotic infections, UTI, volume depletion. Rare: DKA, pancreatitis.
