Empagliflozin/linagliptin/metformin XR triple therapy for type 2 diabetes.
Diampa L XR combines Empagliflozin 25mg (SGLT2 inhibitor), Linagliptin 5mg (DPP-4 inhibitor), and Metformin 1000mg extended-release for type 2 diabetes. It improves glycaemic control and can reduce cardiovascular death when empagliflozin is indicated.
Purpose
Type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise; reduction of cardiovascular death when applicable.
Ingredients
Empagliflozin 25mg, Linagliptin 5mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg (extended-release)
Warnings
Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. Lactic acidosis risk with metformin. Avoid if eGFR below 45. Prescription only.
Side Effects
Genital mycotic infections, UTI, volume depletion, lactic acidosis (metformin). Rare: DKA, pancreatitis.
