Disprin 300mg tablets contain aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) 300mg. They are dispersible tablets that can be dissolved in water. Aspirin is used for pain relief, to reduce fever, and to reduce inflammation. Low-dose aspirin is also used for heart protection in some patients.

Purpose

Relief of mild to moderate pain (headache, migraine, toothache, period pain, sore throat). Reduction of fever. Relief of inflammation in rheumatism and muscular pain.

Ingredients

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) 300mg.

Warnings

Do not use if you have stomach ulcers, haemophilia, or asthma triggered by aspirin, unless advised by a doctor. May increase effect of anticoagulants. Not for children under 16 with fever (risk of Reye's syndrome) unless prescribed.

Side Effects

Stomach upset, indigestion. Rare: stomach bleeding, bronchospasm in asthmatics, increased bleeding tendency. Stop and seek help if allergic reaction, severe stomach pain, or bleeding.
