Cabergoline tablets for hyperprolactinaemia and pituitary adenomas.
Dostinex Tab (Im) contains cabergoline, a dopamine agonist used for hyperprolactinaemia, pituitary adenomas, and Parkinson's disease. Take as directed; do not stop suddenly. Dose is usually twice weekly for hyperprolactinaemia.
Purpose
Treatment of hyperprolactinaemia; treatment of prolactin-secreting pituitary adenomas; adjunct in Parkinson's disease when prescribed.
Ingredients
Cabergoline 0.5mg per tablet (or strength as per pack).
Warnings
Prescription only. May cause dizziness; avoid driving until effect known. Report impulse control disorders or signs of fibrosis. Not for use in pregnancy unless directed; use contraception.
Side Effects
Nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension. Impulse control disorders, fibrosis (rare). Report compulsive behaviour, shortness of breath, or swelling.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
