Effigenta (0.005/0.1%) 10g Skin Ointment combines a vitamin D analogue (e.g. calcipotriol 0.005%) with betamethasone (0.1%) for plaque psoriasis. Use as directed; apply thinly. Do not use on face long-term.
Purpose
Treatment of mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults when combination therapy is appropriate.
Ingredients
Calcipotriol 0.005% and betamethasone (as dipropionate) 0.1% w/w; 10g.
Warnings
Do not use on face or under occlusion without advice. Do not exceed recommended amount. Report skin thinning or worsening. Not for use in pregnancy unless directed.
Side Effects
Local irritation, thinning with prolonged use. Hypercalcaemia with excessive use. Report skin thinning or worsening.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Keep tube tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
