Eglaro S (5mg/100mg) Tab 14s
Sitagliptin and metformin combination for type 2 diabetes.
Eglaro S (5mg/100mg) Tab 14s combines sitagliptin 5mg (or 50mg) and metformin 100mg (or 1000mg) for type 2 diabetes. DPP-4 inhibitor plus metformin. Take as directed with food.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise plus metformin or sitagliptin alone do not achieve adequate glycaemic control.
Ingredients
Sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride (strengths as per pack); 14 tablets.
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis, type 1 diabetes. Assess renal function. Discontinue before iodinated contrast if indicated. Report signs of lactic acidosis.
Side Effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, headache. Lactic acidosis (rare) with metformin. Report severe abdominal pain or signs of lactic acidosis.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
