Empaa L combines Empagliflozin 25mg (SGLT2 inhibitor) and Linagliptin 5mg (DPP-4 inhibitor) for type 2 diabetes. It improves glycaemic control and can reduce cardiovascular death when indicated.

Purpose

Type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise; reduction of cardiovascular death when empagliflozin is indicated.

Warnings

Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. DKA risk in acute illness. Prescription only.

Side Effects

Genital mycotic infections, UTI, nasopharyngitis. Rare: DKA, pancreatitis.
