Empagliflozin 12.5mg and Metformin 1000mg for type 2 diabetes.
Empaglimet 12.5/1000mg is a fixed-dose combination of empagliflozin 12.5mg (SGLT2 inhibitor) and metformin 1000mg. Empagliflozin reduces renal glucose reabsorption; metformin reduces hepatic glucose production. Used for type 2 diabetes as an adjunct to diet and exercise. Usually taken twice daily with meals. Pack of 14 tablets.

Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
Genital and urinary tract infections, nausea, diarrhea. Rare: lactic acidosis (metformin), ketoacidosis.
