Empagliflozin 25mg tablets for type 2 diabetes and heart failure.
Empoli 25mg Tab contains empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes and heart failure. Reduces blood sugar and may improve cardiovascular outcomes. Take as directed; do not use in type 1 diabetes.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus; treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction when prescribed.
Ingredients
Empagliflozin 25mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in diabetic ketoacidosis and severe renal impairment. Not for type 1 diabetes. Risk of genital and urinary infections. Report signs of ketoacidosis or Fournier's gangrene.
Side Effects
Urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, volume depletion. Rare: ketoacidosis, Fournier's gangrene. Report unusual tiredness, abdominal pain, or genital/urinary symptoms.
