Phenytoin 30mg/5ml suspension 120ml for epilepsy.
Epitoin (30mg/5Ml) 120Ml Suspension contains phenytoin 30mg/5ml for epilepsy. Anticonvulsant; shake well before use. Dose is individualised; do not stop suddenly.
Purpose
Treatment of tonic-clonic and partial seizures; status epilepticus when prescribed.
Ingredients
Phenytoin (as sodium) 30mg per 5ml; 120ml suspension.
Warnings
Prescription only. Do not stop abruptly. Avoid alcohol. Report rash (risk of SJS). Monitor levels. Teratogenic; use contraception.
Side Effects
Nystagmus, ataxia, slurred speech, gingival hyperplasia, hirsutism. Rare: rash (SJS), hepatotoxicity. Report rash, fever, or jaundice.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Shake well before use. Keep bottle tightly closed. Use within period after opening if stated. Keep out of reach of children.
