Fenhil 10mg is a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) containing finerenone. It works by blocking the overactivation of the mineralocorticoid receptor, which is known to contribute to kidney and heart damage. It is specifically indicated to reduce the risk of kidney function decline and heart complications in adults with chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes.
Purpose
Reduction of risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, and cardiovascular death in CKD with type 2 diabetes.
Ingredients
Finerenone 10mg per tablet.
Warnings
Risk of high potassium; monitor blood levels regularly. Contraindicated in patients with adrenal insufficiency.
Side Effects
Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels), hypotension, and hyponatremia. Regular blood monitoring is required.
