Fidaxomicin 120mg tablets for C. difficile infection.
Fidaxo 120mg contains fidaxomicin, a macrocyclic antibiotic used for Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea. It is used when metronidazole or vancomycin are not suitable or when recurrence is a concern. Take twice daily for 10 days as directed.
Purpose
Treatment of Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea when prescribed.
Ingredients
Fidaxomicin 120mg per tablet (or equivalent as per pack).
Warnings
Prescription only. Complete full course. Not for systemic bacterial infections. Report persistent or worsening diarrhoea.
Side Effects
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain. Rare: hypersensitivity. Report severe abdominal pain or rash.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
