Warnings
Montelukast is advised to not be abruptly substituted for inhaled or oral corticosteroids.
Treatment with montelukast does not alter the need for patients with aspirin sensitive asthma to avoid taking aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Patient and physician is advised to be alert for neuropsychiatric events. Patients is advised to be instructed to notify their health care practitioner if any such changes occur.

Abdominal pain , Headache , Thirst , Rarely anaphylaxis , Angioedema , seizure , GI upset .
