Genthro (500mg) 6s Tablets contains gentamicin or similar aminoglycoside (often 80mg for injection); if oral, may be neomycin/gentamicin for GI decontamination. Use as directed; prescription only.
Purpose
Treatment of bacterial infections when susceptible organisms are identified; use as prescribed.
Ingredients
Gentamicin or equivalent (strength as per pack); 6 tablets or units.
Warnings
Prescription only. Monitor renal function and hearing if used systemically. Report hearing loss or dizziness.
Side Effects
Nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity with systemic use. Nausea, rash. Report hearing changes, dizziness, or reduced urine output.
