Getzid Mr 60mg Tab
Gliclazide 60mg modified-release tablets for type 2 diabetes; once-daily dosing.
Getzid MR 60mg is a modified-release tablet containing gliclazide, a sulphonylurea antidiabetic. It stimulates insulin release from the pancreas and is used when diet, exercise, and weight loss alone do not control blood glucose in type 2 diabetes. The MR formulation allows once-daily dosing with sustained release of gliclazide throughout the day.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise are insufficient.
Ingredients
Gliclazide 60mg (modified release) per tablet.
Warnings
Risk of hypoglycemia; do not use in type 1 diabetes. Caution in severe renal or hepatic impairment. Not for use during breastfeeding.
Side Effects
Hypoglycemia, nausea, headache, dizziness, and skin reactions. Monitor blood glucose regularly.
