Glucomet Plus combines Glimepiride 5mg (sulfonylurea) and Metformin 500mg for type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release; metformin reduces hepatic glucose and improves insulin sensitivity.

Purpose

Type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise when dual therapy is indicated.

Warnings

Hypoglycaemia risk. Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. Lactic acidosis risk with metformin. Prescription only.
