Gluconorm (2mg) 20 Tablets
Glimepiride 2mg tablets for type 2 diabetes.
Gluconorm 2mg contains glimepiride, a sulphonylurea antidiabetic that stimulates insulin release from the pancreas. Used for type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone do not control blood glucose. Starting dose is often 1–2mg once daily with breakfast; maximum 8mg daily. Pack of 20 tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ingredients
Glimepiride 2mg per tablet.
Warnings
Risk of hypoglycemia; do not use in type 1 diabetes. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to sulphonamides. Caution in renal or hepatic impairment.
Side Effects
Hypoglycemia, nausea, dizziness, headache. May cause weight gain and skin reactions.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from moisture.
