Glytec M Xr 50mg/500mg
Metformin XR and antidiabetic combination for diabetes.
Glytec M Xr 50mg/500mg is a combination of metformin XR 500mg and another agent (e.g. glimepiride 50mg or DPP-4 inhibitor) for type 2 diabetes. Take as directed with meals. Prescription only.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes when combination therapy is indicated.
Ingredients
Metformin extended-release 500mg and second agent (strength as per pack); tablets.
Warnings
Prescription only. Risk of hypoglycaemia. Avoid alcohol. Report signs of lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
GI upset, hypoglycaemia (if contains sulphonylurea). Rare: lactic acidosis. Report unusual muscle pain or breathlessness.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
