Gujasit 15/100mg Tab 14s
Glimepiride and Metformin combination for type 2 diabetes.
Gujasit 15/100mg is a fixed-dose combination of glimepiride (sulphonylurea) and metformin (biguanide) for type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release; metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. Take with meals as directed. Pack of 14 tablets. Max 8mg glimepiride and 2000mg metformin daily.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ingredients
Glimepiride and Metformin hydrochloride; strengths as per pack (e.g. 1.5mg/500mg or 2mg/500mg).
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of hypoglycemia and lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
Hypoglycemia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort. Rare: lactic acidosis (metformin).
Storage Instructions
Store below 25C in a dry place. Keep in original pack to protect from moisture.
