Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid syrup for bacterial infections.
Hb Vimocid syrup is an oral suspension of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid (co-amoxiclav), a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic. Used for bacterial infections of the ear, throat, sinus, respiratory tract, urinary tract, and skin. Give with or just after food. Complete full course. Bottle of 120ml.
Purpose
Treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, ear, sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue caused by susceptible organisms.
Ingredients
Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) and Clavulanic acid (as potassium salt); strengths as per pack (e.g. 400mg/57mg per 5ml or 600mg/42.9mg per 5ml).
Warnings
Contraindicated in penicillin allergy and history of hepatic dysfunction with co-amoxiclav. Complete full course. Do not use if allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins.
Side Effects
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort. Rare: allergic reactions, hepatitis, blood disorders. Stop and seek help if rash or swelling.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25C. Shake well before use. Use within 14 days after opening or as stated on pack. Keep out of reach of children.
