Humulin 100IU/ml is human insulin (rDNA origin) for injection. Each cartridge contains 3ml (300 units). Used for type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus to control blood glucose. Product may be short-acting (regular) or intermediate-acting (NPH) depending on formulation. Inject subcutaneously as prescribed. Refrigerate until first use; after first use may be kept at room temperature for up to 28 days. Pack of 5 cartridges.

Purpose

Treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus to control blood glucose.

Ingredients

Human insulin (rDNA origin) 100 units per ml. Each cartridge contains 3ml (300 units).

Warnings

Hypoglycemia is the most common adverse effect. Do not use in hypoglycemic episodes. Rotate injection sites. Do not share pen or cartridges between patients.

Side Effects

Hypoglycemia, injection site reactions, weight gain, lipodystrophy. Allergic reactions rare.

Storage Instructions

Refrigerate at 2-8C until first use. Do not freeze. After first use, may be stored at room temperature (below 25C) for up to 28 days. Protect from direct heat and light.
