Hypertonic Saline 3% Sol is sodium chloride 3% solution for inhalation (e.g. nebulisation) to help loosen mucus in respiratory conditions, or for other medical use as prescribed. For use as directed by a healthcare professional.
Purpose
Assistance in loosening and clearing mucus in respiratory conditions (e.g. cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis) when used as directed; or other medical use as prescribed.
Ingredients
Sodium chloride 3% w/v (30 mg/ml).
Warnings
For inhalation or use as directed. Do not use if solution is cloudy. Report severe cough or breathing difficulty. Use only as prescribed.
Side Effects
Cough, throat irritation, bronchospasm in some. Report severe cough, wheezing, or breathing difficulty.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Use only if solution is clear. Use within period stated after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
