Fluconazole 150mg tablets for vaginal candidiasis and other fungal infections.
Irecon 150mg contains fluconazole, an antifungal that works by inhibiting fungal cell membrane synthesis. It is used to treat vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis, and systemic fungal infections. A single 150mg dose is often sufficient for uncomplicated vaginal thrush; longer courses are prescribed for other indications.
Purpose
Treatment of vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis, and systemic candidal infections when prescribed.
Ingredients
Fluconazole 150mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated with terfenadine, cisapride, or prolonged QT. Caution in hepatic or renal impairment. Avoid in first trimester of pregnancy unless essential. Report rash or liver symptoms.
Side Effects
Nausea, abdominal discomfort, headache, rash, diarrhoea. Rare: hepatotoxicity, anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Report unexplained fatigue, dark urine, or skin reactions.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from light and moisture.
