Levalbuterol 0.63mg/3ml nebuliser solution for relief of asthma bronchospasm.
Levhale 0.63mg/3ml respules contain levalbuterol (levosalbutamol), the R-enantiomer of albuterol, as a nebuliser solution. It is a short-acting beta-2 agonist used for relief of bronchospasm in asthma and reversible obstructive airway disease. The formulation is for use in a nebuliser only; not for injection or oral use.
Purpose
Relief of acute bronchospasm in asthma and in reversible obstructive airway disease.
Ingredients
Levalbuterol (as hydrochloride or equivalent) 0.63mg per 3ml respule.
Warnings
Not for relief of acute severe asthma alone; seek emergency care for severe attacks. Caution in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and with other sympathomimetics. Report chest pain or worsening breathlessness.
Side Effects
Tremor, headache, tachycardia, palpitations, nervousness, cough, throat irritation. Paradoxical bronchospasm may occur; discontinue and seek medical help if worsening.
Storage Instructions
Store in foil pouch until use. Unopened respules as per pack; protect from light. Use within timeframe stated on pack after opening.
