Linvesta contains Linagliptin 5mg, a DPP-4 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes. It increases incretin activity and is excreted largely via bile; no dose adjustment in renal impairment.

Purpose

Type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise, as monotherapy or with other glucose-lowering agents.

Side Effects

Nasopharyngitis, hypoglycaemia with sulphonylurea. Rare: pancreatitis.
