Lochol Ez 10+40mg Tab
Rosuvastatin and ezetimibe combination for high cholesterol.
Lochol Ez 10+40mg is a fixed-dose combination of rosuvastatin (statin) and ezetimibe. Rosuvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver; ezetimibe reduces cholesterol absorption from the intestine. Used for primary hypercholesterolemia when diet alone is insufficient or when substituting for separate rosuvastatin and ezetimibe tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia.
Ingredients
Rosuvastatin (as calcium) and Ezetimibe; strengths as per pack (e.g. 10mg ezetimibe, 40mg rosuvastatin).
Warnings
Report unexplained muscle pain or weakness. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Caution in Asian patients with rosuvastatin 40mg. Monitor liver function.
Side Effects
Headache, muscle pain, abdominal pain, diarrhea. Rare: liver enzyme elevation, myopathy.
