Lotense (50mg) 20 Tablets
Losartan 50mg tablets for high blood pressure and kidney protection in diabetic nephropathy.
Lotense 50mg contains losartan potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels and reduces blood pressure. It is used for hypertension and for protection of kidney function in type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria. It may also be used in heart failure when prescribed.
Purpose
Treatment of essential hypertension; nephroprotection in type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria.
Ingredients
Losartan potassium 50mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy; can cause fetal injury. Caution in renal impairment, hyperkalaemia, and with potassium-sparing diuretics. Do not use with aliskiren in diabetic patients.
Side Effects
Dizziness, fatigue, hyperkalaemia, cough (less than ACE inhibitors), hypotension. Rare: angioedema, renal impairment. Report swelling of face or throat or fainting.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original container; protect from moisture.
