Mac Fenid 801mg Tab 30s
Fenofibrate 801mg micronised tablets for high triglycerides and mixed dyslipidaemia.
Mac Fenid 801mg contains fenofibrate in micronised form, a fibrate that activates PPAR-alpha to lower triglycerides and modestly raise HDL cholesterol. It is used for mixed dyslipidaemia and severe hypertriglyceridaemia when diet and lifestyle changes are insufficient. Often used with or after statins when combined therapy is indicated.
Purpose
Treatment of mixed dyslipidaemia and severe hypertriglyceridaemia as adjunct to diet.
Ingredients
Fenofibrate (micronised) 801mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe hepatic or renal impairment, gallbladder disease, and photoallergy to fibrates. May increase anticoagulant effect of warfarin. Monitor liver function. Not a substitute for diet.
Side Effects
Abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, rash, increased transaminases. Rare: myopathy, pancreatitis, gallstones, photosensitivity. Report muscle pain or severe abdominal pain.

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from light and moisture.
