Maxit (50mg) 20 Tablets
Losartan 50mg tablets for hypertension.
Maxit (50mg) contains losartan potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) for hypertension and kidney protection in diabetic nephropathy. The 50mg strength is for once-daily dosing. Take at the same time each day.
Purpose
Treatment of essential hypertension; nephroprotection in type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria when prescribed.
Ingredients
Losartan potassium 50mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy; can cause fetal injury. Caution in renal impairment and with potassium-sparing diuretics. Do not use with aliskiren in diabetic patients.
Side Effects
Dizziness, fatigue, hyperkalaemia, cough (less than ACE inhibitors). Rare: angioedema. Report swelling of face or throat or fainting.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
