Medifer 20 Tablets
Iron supplement tablets for iron deficiency anaemia.
Medifer 20 Tablets is an iron supplement (ferrous salt) for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia. Used when dietary intake is insufficient or when iron requirements are increased (e.g. pregnancy). Take as directed; may cause gastric upset.
Purpose
Treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia when dietary intake is insufficient.
Ingredients
Ferrous salt (e.g. ferrous sulphate or fumarate); strength as per pack. May contain folic acid.
Warnings
Overdose can be fatal; keep out of reach of children. Do not take with antacids or tea within 2 hours. Consult a doctor if pregnant or if overdose is suspected.
Side Effects
Constipation, nausea, dark stools, gastric upset. Stools may turn dark; this is harmless.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
